Annual trip for tea factory employees in Sri Lanka
At the Fair Grounds Foundation, we are committed to a fair and sustainable tea supply chain, where the focus is not only on the quality of the tea, but also on the people behind the product. The employees of the tea factory in Sri Lanka are an essential part of this chain.
Beach trip
To show our appreciation, we organised a beach day for the employees of a tea factory in Sri Lanka. The aim was to offer them a relaxing day away from their daily work environment, filled with fun, connection, and relaxation. The day included live music, a boat trip, delicious food, dancing, and various activities that created an unforgettable experience together with colleagues.
Kitchen equipment
In addition to the beach trip, we wanted to contribute something practical to the daily lives of the employees at the tea factory in Sri Lanka. Therefore, we asked in advance which items they could really use at home. The need was clear: kitchen appliances such as rice cookers and pots. During the beach outing, we personally handed out these practical gifts. In this way, we make a difference not only in the workplace but also in their home lives.
Building a fairer future together
This project was made possible thanks to everyone who consciously chooses Tea of Life, as well as our private label partners who invest alongside us in a fair supply chain. Thanks to their commitment, we are able to realise projects that truly make a difference for tea communities. With initiatives like this beach day, we demonstrate that social impact goes hand in hand with sustainable production.
