Improving Education and Facilities
Iukmulla Secondary School Beliatta
The Fair Grounds Foundation is taking the initiative to address the issues that hinder the learning process of students at Iukmulla Secondary School in Beliatta, Sri Lanka. By introducing new facilities and improving the learning environment, we strive for sustainable progress and measurable results. The goal is to strengthen the school community and improve educational opportunities for all students.
Secondary School Beliatta lacks modern facilities, creating challenges for students during their learning. This lack of resources makes it difficult for them to develop the essential knowledge and skills needed for their future.
The quality of education at Secondary School Beliatta needs to be improved. Various actions are being taken to help students fully utilize their talents.
The learning environment is being improved through:
- New whiteboards: The school still uses chalkboards, which are unhealthy due to chalk dust. These are being replaced with 13 new whiteboards with magnetic erasers and markers.
- Better furniture for teachers: There are not enough tables and chairs for the teachers, making it difficult to teach. Thirteen new tables and chairs are being provided.
- Safe electricity: The current wiring is unsafe. The electrical installation is being improved to ensure a safe learning environment.
- Technology improvements: There are no adequate ICT facilities, preventing students from working with computers. Two computers, two UPS systems, and an interactive whiteboard are being acquired.
- Renovation of the lab and library: The lab and library are being renovated to protect all equipment properly.
